Introducing the New Science & Nature: Two Votes for God Video Series
by Bert Thompson, Ph.D.

I suspect most of our regular readers are well aware of the fact (having seen my schedule published regularly in Reason & Revelation) that I travel extensively as a result of various speaking engagements. In fact, on the average, I am out of the office approximately 40 weekends per year (and sometimes more) due to these assignments.

In October of 1978, I gave the first of what eventually was to become twenty years’ worth of weekend seminars on Christian evidences. The program is titled Science & Nature: Two Votes for God, and has three objectives: (1) to defend the Bible—especially the creation account in Genesis—as the inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God; (2) to strengthen the faith of the Christian; and (3) to aid in the conversion of the non-Christian.

Presentations cover a number of current aspects relating to apologetics. A standard weekend program begins on Friday evening, goes through most of the day on Saturday, and ends with the Bible class and sermon on Sunday morning.

The venue changes from one weekend to another, with the series variously being presented in civic centers, on university campuses, in high school or junior high school auditoriums, and in church buildings. The content of the program also varies on occasion, but generally includes lectures on the creation/evolution controversy (including discussions on dinosaurs and the Bible, the age of the Earth, the origin of races, the early Earth, fossil man, compromises of the Genesis account of creation, theistic evolution, etc.), the existence of God, the inspiration of the Bible, and the effect of evolution on the home, church, and nation.

We never have had the seminar on video—until now. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I announce the availability of professionally produced, high-quality, color videos of the Science & Nature seminar. Late in 1997, when I flew to Texas to present a weekend program, my good friends at World Video Bible School (see Reason & Revelation, July 1997) graciously agreed to video-tape the entire series. In addition, they performed extensive post-production, computerized editing in order to insert quotes, charts, drawings, photographs, etc. I am thrilled with the result, and believe that you will be, too.

There are four videos, each of which comes in its own attractive, full-color case. The entire set sells for only $75, and would be ideal for studying with friends who may have questions regarding these issues. The set may be ordered with a credit card by calling 800/234-8558 (mail orders please include $5 postage).
